Taking Time Out

I have been so very busy lately, that I thought I take sometime out today and blog. So much has been going on my Mum has become very ill and has been in the hospital for months. I Went to see her last weekend and I was so happy to see that she is coming along. It just delighted me to see her finish almost all her food. My Mum has colon cancer but the power of prayer she will pull through it all. I am in Maryland and she is in a hospital in DC so it is a bit of a commute for me since I don't drive anymore. So between going to see my Mum and going to the Docs for myself whew I am tired.

I have been slowly working on making new items for my Etsy shop along with my big project of making sure Christmas will visit my house this year. It came to me as a thought I would like to have a online Christmas ornament exchange. If anyone is interested in doing this please leave me a comment. I think that would be alot of fun. I will work on my details about this weekend. Until then I wish you all
Peace and Many Blessings

  1. Hi Cheryl
Thank you for all your sweet comments! I will pray for your mom. My husband had colon cancer 7 years ago. He is fine today but it took an awful toll on him while he was going through the chemo and radiation. He was dismissed form his job on a Monday and found out he had cancer on the Wednesday. That was quite a wekk! But God is so faithful and we just kept lookin got Him. That is the key isn't it? Hugs, Rhondi

  2. Sheryl. I think our minds run along similar tracks. I am so glad to see you back posting. I know you have had a rough time. Those ornaments look so scrumptious. How do you glitter them so nicely? I don't have much patience waiting for things to dry. I love your snowman in the post below. He is so cute. $15 is a steal for something so nice. The button jar/vase is an apothecary jar from Micheals. I am glad you joined the Christmas ornament swap. I have to come up with something myself. I wish I could join your swap too but I am hoping that swap will be one where we are exchanging ornaments with everyone else so I will get one of yours. As to the photograph staging. It is a matter of trial and error for me. I have to take many pictures and try many different settings. I want one of those super duper expensive cameras. I think that would help a good deal in taking better pictures.
Keep in touch and I will keep your Mom in my prayers. I do hope she gets out of the hospital soon.

  3. Cheryl it is very sad when our Moms are ill. I am always reminded we only have so many heart beats. Make each breath and beat count...sounds like you are doing that and so is your Mom.
